YOUR QUESTIONS, Answered.
-
Bronze Society offers in-studio tans at 162 Church St Naugatuck, located inside of The Glow Up Bar.
For Fairfield County we are fully mobile and bring the sun to your doorstep.
-
A spray tan uses a sunless tanning solution that reacts with the amino acids in your skin to create a temporary, natural-looking bronze. No UV exposure required.
-
Your tan should look like you—just bronzier. We customize your color based on your skin tone, undertones, desired depth and lifestyle rather than using one shade for everyone.
-
Most tans last approximately 5–10 days, depending on your skin, skincare routine, lifestyle and how well you care for your tan.
-
Plan for approximately 30–45 minutes for your initial appointment. Your consultation is part of the experience—we want to understand your skin, your plans and the look you're going for before we spray.
After your first appointment you can plan for 20-30 minutes given nothing has changed.
-
Depending on whether you choose standard or rapid will determine your rinse time. We take into consideration the type of solution and your desired depth of color.
-
Not while your tan is developing. Sweat, friction and water can interfere with the development of your color.
If you're getting The Endurance, we'll specifically tailor your tan around your active lifestyle.
-
Let us know during your consultation. We'll take your skin into consideration when selecting your solution and can discuss the best option for you.
-
It’s always best to discuss with your doctor if you can tan while pregnant - every pregnancy is different.
However, many women tan pregnant and the solution lies on the top of the skin so you are not absorbing any harsh chemicals.
Again - check with your health provider prior to booking.
-
That's exactly why we take the time to consult with you. You don't need to know what color you want. Tell us what you're looking for, what you're wearing, where you're going and how you live—we'll help create the rest.

Wait until your recommended development time has passed. Your artist will tell you exactly when to rinse based on the solution used.
For your first rinse, use lukewarm water and gently rinse until the water runs mostly clear. Pat dry with a towel, take a look in the mirror to make sure you didn’t miss anything.
-
Keep your first rinse simple. You don't need to scrub or exfoliate. 2-3 minutes in lukewarm water will suffice. Rub your hands in a light circle around your body to rinse of the bronzer, until the water runs clear.

Yes—and you should.
Gently pat your skin dry and apply a hydrating, tan-friendly moisturizer. Keeping your skin moisturized helps your tan fade more evenly and can extend the life of your glow.

Wait until your tan has completely developed before working out.
Once you've rinsed, you're good to get back to your routine—but keep in mind that frequent sweating and friction can cause your tan to fade faster.
-
You can, but chlorine and prolonged water exposure will shorten the life of your tan.
If you want to keep your glow looking fresh, limit pools, hot tubs and long baths, saunas & swimming in the ocean.
-
Oils can cause your tan to fade faster, so we recommend sticking with a tan-friendly moisturizer while you're wearing your Bronze Society glow.
